Role Overview:
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Build Advisor focused on landed residential projects. You will be the first point of contact for prospective homeowners, advising them on the design and build possibilities of their landed properties. Your role involves evaluating site conditions, interpreting client needs, and proposing tailored solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality, and feasibility. You’ll guide clients through the early stages of planning, helping them understand construction options, timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients exploring design and build options for their landed homes.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate renovation or rebuild potential.
- Interpret client needs and lifestyle preferences to propose tailored design and construction solutions.
- Collaborate with internal design and technical teams to develop preliminary concepts and proposals.
- Advise clients on construction timelines, budget estimates, and regulatory considerations.
- Provide expert guidance on materials, structural options, and build methodologies.
- Ensure all proposed solutions align with URA, BCA, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Build trust and rapport with clients through clear, professional communication and thoughtful recommendations.
- Prepare documentation and handover briefs for project transition to design and construction teams.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential renovation, construction, or design and build consultancy—preferably for landed homes.
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles, space planning, and build feasibility.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and advise clients effectively.
- Familiarity with Singapore’s building codes, URA guidelines, and BCA regulations.
- Ability to conduct site assessments and translate client needs into actionable design and build proposals.
- Proficiency in construction or design management tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, MS Project).
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple client consultations.
